Doctors: M. Glenn Hunt, M.D., Gregory O. Patton, M.D., Julie G. Harper, M.D.
The practice of Obstetrics is concerned with the medical management of pregnancy, including preconception counseling, prenatal care, labor and delivery, and the post-partum (after delivery) period. The practice of Gynecology refers to the diagnosis and treatment of disorders unique to women.
This field covers a broad medical and surgical spectrum including contraception, infertility, annual examination, menopausal disorders, pelvic surgery, urinary tract dysfunction, laser surgery, etc. In short, the specialty of Obstetrics and Gynecology is the branch of medicine wholly dedicated to women's health care from early adolescence through the reproductive years, and well beyond.

Our Providers

Glenn Hunt, M.D.

Glenn Hunt, a native of Jackson, Mississippi, received his undergraduate degree from Mississippi College. He attended the University of Mississippi Medical School receiving the doctor of medicine degree. He then completed an internship in Pediatrics and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology also at UMC.
Dr. Hunt founded Oxford Obstetrics and Gynecology Associates in 1987. He has enjoyed practicing obstetrics and gynecology since then serving Oxford and the surrounding area. In addition to general obstetrics and gynecology practice, he has developed a special interest in advanced laparoscopic surgery, including laparoscopic hysterectomy, treatment of urinary incontinence, and correction of pelvic prolapse.
Personal: Dr. Hunt is married to Sharon and they have two sons, Will and Clark. He enjoys gardening, cooking, and spending time with his granddaughter.

Gregory O Patton, M.D.

Gregory O. Patton, M.D., originally from Leland, Mississippi, obtained his undergraduate degree from The University of Colorado.
After graduating from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas, he completed his post graduate training in Obstetrics/Gynecology at the University of Louisville, Louisville, Kentucky. Dr. Patton is Board
certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and has been practicing in Oxford since 1989.
Personal: Dr. Patton, his wife Betsy, and their two children enjoy living on a farm in Lafayette County.

Julie G Harper, M.D.

Julie Harper received her undergraduate degree from the University of Mississippi with a B.A. in Psychology. Then she continued her
education and received her medical degree from the University of
Tennessee. While in medical school was awarded Alumni
Achievement Award in Clinical Medicine in 1999.
Dr. Harper completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology of the University of Alabama hospital in Birmingham. Was administrative Chief Resident in 2002-2003 and received Charles E. Flowers Jr. Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2000-2001. Previously Julie Harper was in private practice of Memphis Obstetrics and Gynecology Associates and served in the Desoto Surgery Center Medical Advisory Board. Dr. Harper is Board Certified.
Personal: Dr. Harper is married to James D. Harper, an attorney. They have two young children Hannah and Jack.
