About Us

Established in 2005, Idaho Urologic Institute, PA is dedicated to providing Idaho’s most advanced urologic care for men, women, and children. Our goal is to deliver high-quality, innovative care by offering the best and newest treatment modalities to improve your urologic health and quality of life. For your convenience we have offices in Boise, Meridian, Mountain Home and Nampa, Idaho. Our Meridian facility features an outpatient surgery center (Surgery Center of Idaho), outpatient diagnostic imaging services, clinical research department, full-service reference lab that includes a comprehensive infertility lab, and a technologically advanced radiation oncology care center.

Urology
Dawn King, MD

Dr. Dawn King is a native of Montana. She received her undergraduate degree at Montana State University and earned her medical degree at the University of New Mexico. She completed her internship and residency at the University of Utah. She is a founding member of the Idaho Urologic Institute and the Surgery Center of Idaho.

Dr. King specializes in the treatment of male and female incontinence, kidney stones, voiding dysfunction, BPH, UTI, overactive bladder and bladder cancer. Dr. King’s surgical practice includes vasectomies, slings for urinary incontinence, sacral nerve stimulation for incontinence (InterStim), urodynamics, ureteroscopy, cystoscopy, extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL) for stones, circumcision, and BPH surgery.

Dr. King is married to an orthopedic surgeon and they have 2 children. She enjoys outdoors activities such as running, skiing, biking, rafting, boating and camping. Her other interests include playing the piano and singing.

Dr. King is a member of the American Urological Association, the Idaho Medical Association, the American Medical Association, the Ada County Medical Society, and is a lifetime member of the Society of Women in Urology. She is also a diplomate of the American Board of Urology.

Urology
Lisa Parrillo, MD

Dr. Lisa Parrillo is a reconstructive urologist that has recently joined Idaho Urologic Institute. She is a graduate of Pomona College in Claremont, CA, and attended medical school at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia. She completed her urology residency at University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA and went on to complete a fellowship in Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Colorado in Denver, Colorado.

Dr. Parrillo sees male and female patients and has special interest in reconstructive urology; treatment of urethral stricture disease; treatment of erectile dysfunction; multimodal treatment of urinary incontinence; robotic treatment of ureteral stricture; robotic treatment of prolapse disease; treatment of vesicovaginal fistulas; vasectomy; treatment of urologic cancer; complex urinary infection issues and treatment of stone disease. She participates in research studies at Idaho Urologic Institute.

When not working, Dr. Parrillo enjoys the outdoors and runs, rock climbs, skis and hikes.

Dr. Parrillo is a member of the American Urologic Association.
